Annie

Last night I had pizza with Aileen Quinn (the original Annie from the movie "Annie") and Michael Stevers after the show. I get to meet so many cool people doing the show here in New York.

Tomorrow night Bishop Gene Robinson comes to see the show, flying in from New Hampshire. He was going to see it April 26th, but since we close Sunday, he's seeing it early. What a great man out to make a huge difference and lead by example.

Tonight is Gay Singles Night. We have the best time after the show downstairs in the Huron Club!

I know this is a longshot, but years ago, back in the late 80s, I knew a actor/dancer named Michael Stevers here in Sacramento. Back then, we met in a local production of A Chorus Line (and later West Side Story) under the direction of Ron Cisneros. I remember that Michael was amazingly talented, and I was inexperienced and out of my league in that show (why Ron cast me as Bobby, I'll never know).

I also remember that, although I still was severely closeted, I had a huge crush on Michael. So much so, that I asked him if he would pose for some portraits so I could practice for my photography class. Truth is, I could have gotten anyone to model, but I wanted some pictures of him!

*blush*

Could this be the same Michael Stevers that you and Aileen shared a pizza with? If you see him again, pass this along. And tell him that Ron Cisneros is celebrating his 60th birthday this Sunday. I'm sure Ron would love to hear how Michael is doing.

By the way, when is your show coming to the West Coast? It sounds wonderful!
