Yesterday was my day off. My day off is filled with "producer" meetings, etc. I love our "Mormon Boy Team." This is the day we meet to discuss the producing end of things--there is so much to do behind the scenes so that I can even DO eight shows a week. But last night I had a very relaxing evening. I stayed HOME! Imagine, no promoting! I watched a DVD in bed and ate popcorn. I finally got to see "Million Dollar Baby." It exceeded my expectations--so poignant, so moving, so well-acted. My father told me he saw the movie a year ago, so I've been eager to see why he liked it so much. What is so cool is that my father looks A LOT like Clint Eastwood! (Actually, more like Rumsfeld!)
Today I was on OutQ on Sirius Satellite Radio. I was broadcast in an interview live at 4:30pm EST. It was a lot of fun. Great questions were asked. The interview mostly focused on religion and homosexuality...
I will be on NY1 TV's "Onstage" this weekend starting Friday. The interview (with Patrick Pachecco) was taped last week. "Onstage" is a brilliant theatre news magazine covering New York Theatre.
Tonight's show went very well. I felt very rested. A very appreciative crowd. I love greeting the audience after the show in the lobby as they leave the SoHo Playhouse. I get to hear such amazing stories. We all have a story. And it is good that we share them.

Steven, my husband took me to see your show today (Sat. matinee, 3/11/06). I thought you were just terrific. The solo show format is probably the hardest medium for any performer. Lights, sound, and costumes can only do so much; it's the performer who has to capture our attention and hold it for the entire length of the show. I just wanted to let you that you not only met those challenges, but exceeded them. I'm happy that I got the chance to hear your story. Good luck with the remainder of your run in NYC, and with your tour.
Hello Mr. Fales!
Um, I feel kind of wierd writing on such an empty blog for such a lavishly praised actor, but I just wanted to say that I hope you'll stop by Los Angeles (soon!), and if you perhaps have the time, stop by for a performance at some of the colleges in the area, sayyyyyyyyyy, Pomona College? I go to school there and we have a small but great queer community who would love to hear your story. It's been kind of a tough year- a lot of our gay, lesbian, and ESPECIALLY our transgendered friends have taken leaves of absences because of queer issues and family issues and I think it would be heartening, for all of us, gay or straight, to see such a smart and successful gay artist like yourself, perform. So please come to SoCal soon, we'd love to have you!
